Picasa works both offline and online, and syncs up to Google+ for unlimited backup (at a lower resolution). If you create a new user account on your Mac, switch to that user and try it there, this should work as expected. Picasa is hands-down the easiest to use free photo management app for Mac. In actual fact, cobook replied saying they don't know why similar is happening and they are looking into it, mentioned in this thread: There is a chance that cobook has affected this URL scheme even if it's closed. All Alfred is doing is calling a URL scheme which opens Contacts app. ![]() Also I got cobook.app installed, which is another contacts manager, but in fact the bug's not gone when cobook is closed. As the contacts.app's default behaviour on hitting it's close button is not to hide or minimize it but to close it, the action just doesn't do what it says. When I hit return, the contact gets only selected in contacts.app when the app is running and hidden / minimized. I type the name of a contact and the default action says ''Open in OSX Contacts". ![]() ![]() What you were doing when the issue happened: I want to open found contacts in the OSX Contacts.app, therefore I have the checkbox 'Open Contact in Alfred' unchecked.
